Overview

Visit one of Paris’s most iconic monuments and enduring symbols of French national pride with your entry ticket to the Arc de Triomphe, a masterpiece that stands proudly at the center of the Place Charles de Gaulle. Commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1806 to honor the victories of the French army, this monumental arch has become a timeless tribute to courage, sacrifice, and unity. As you approach, admire its majestic neoclassical design, adorned with intricate reliefs depicting historic battles, heroic figures, and allegories of triumph. Every sculpture tells a story — a visual testament to the nation’s turbulent yet glorious history. Beneath the arch lies the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, guarded by the Eternal Flame, which has burned continuously since 1923 in memory of those who fell in battle without a name. Pause here to reflect on France’s enduring legacy of valor and remembrance before ascending the 284 steps to the panoramic rooftop terrace. From the top, take in one of the most spectacular views in Paris — the sweeping Champs-Élysées, the glittering Eiffel Tower, and the elegant avenues radiating outward in perfect symmetry. Whether you visit by day, when the city bustles with energy, or at night, when the Arc glows under soft golden light, this experience offers a truly unforgettable perspective of the City of Light — a celebration of history, architecture, and the spirit of France itself.
