Versailles Palace-Entry Ticket to the Palace

Please make your way directly to the main entrance of the Palace of Versailles, located at Place d’Armes, in front of the golden gates (Grille d’Honneur). Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time for the security check.

Access type: This ticket typically includes access to the Palace (Château) only! Closed day: The Palace is closed on Mondays. Opening hours: The Palace usually opens from 9:00 AM, while the Gardens open from 8:00 AM. Closing times vary by season. Arrival time: Please arrive at least 15–20 minutes before your reserved entry time, as security lines may take time. Peak times: Expect large crowds, especially between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM and on weekends. Recommended visit duration: Allow at least 3–4 hours to explore the Palace and Gardens comfortably; a full day is ideal for the entire domain (including the Trianon Estate). Strollers & luggage: Strollers may need to be folded in certain rooms. Large luggage is not permitted and no locker service is available. Re-entry: Once you exit certain areas (e.g., the Palace), re-entry with the same ticket is not guaranteed.
